Is this really the Premier League's 'Bermuda Triangle'?

However, Opta data since the start of 2024-25 shows Brighton (1.62 points per game) and Bournemouth (1.35) have genuinely strong records against the Big Six, while Brentford's 0.85 average is weaker than that of Newcastle, Nottingham Forest and Aston Villa. This suggests Brighton, especially under manager Fabian Hurzeler, is largely responsible for the theory's popularity, while Brentford's inclusion is more about perception than actual results.
