Max Verstappen's Red Bull struggles in Azerbaijan

Max Verstappen was third fastest in FP2 at the Azerbaijan Grand Prix as Red Bull rolled out a significant upgrade package for the RB22, including a new floor, diffuser, and sidepod layout. He said the upgrades were "working well" and that the car could be competitive for a podium, though he noted more pace still needs to be found and Mercedes appeared fastest, particularly on short runs. Teammate Isack Hadjar overcame a gearbox issue on his car in FP1 to run competitively in FP2, showing no lingering effects from his wrist injury. Verstappen is aiming for a third consecutive podium this season after finishing third in Italy and second in Spain.
