Trump administration ACA enrollment purge

CMS is removing about 760,000 people from ACA marketplace coverage, saying their enrollments were unauthorized or fraudulent, often signed up by brokers without consent. Alongside this purge, CMS has frozen new broker registrations for the 2027 plan year in an effort to curb the kind of improper sign-ups blamed for the inflated enrollment numbers. The moves are framed by the administration as anti-fraud measures but will strip coverage from hundreds of thousands currently enrolled.
