NYCFC to launch MLS NEXT Pro team in Middlesex County

New York City FC and Hometown Soccer Holdings (HSH), along with MLS NEXT Pro and Middlesex County, NJ officials, announced plans to launch New Jersey MLS NEXT Pro, starting in July 2027 as a rebranded continuation of New York City FC II. The team, initially called New Jersey MLS NEXT Pro, will develop a new name, colors, and crest with community input, and will play at a stadium within NEXUS, a new $350 million sports and entertainment district in Middlesex County.
