Portland Timbers community initiatives

The Portland Timbers will hold the 12th annual Rose City Road Trip on September 16, presented by Providence and PIL Athletics. The event begins with Timbers players and mascot Timber Joey visiting patients at Providence Portland Medical Center, followed by a community meet-and-greet and autograph session at Da Vinci Arts Middle School from 4:45-5:45 p.m., and a free youth soccer clinic on the field from 5:30-7:30 p.m. The clinic is open to the public but requires online pre-registration by September 14. Over its 12 editions, the Timbers have held these community camps across Oregon and in Vancouver, Wash., including cities such as Klamath Falls, Salem, Eugene/Springfield, Bend, and Astoria.
