San Diego FC Signs Tunisian Winger Elias Achouri to a Designated Player Contract

San Diego FC has signed Tunisian winger Elias Achouri, 27, to a Designated Player Contract through the 2028-29 season, acquiring him from FC Copenhagen; he becomes only the third Designated Player in club history. Achouri, who played three seasons in Copenhagen and helped the club win the 2024/25 Danish Superliga and Danish Cup, previously played for Viborg FF, C.D. Trofense, and G.D. Estoril Praia, and has represented Tunisia internationally since 2022, including at the 2026 World Cup. He will join the roster once his P1 Visa and International Transfer Certificate are processed, and will be introduced to fans at Snapdragon Stadium before SDFC's match against FC Dallas.
