Sophia Page, the Junior Coach Program, and helping quiet kids turn confident

Sophia Page, a rising high school junior at Atlanta International School, is one of three coaches in Atlanta United's inaugural Junior Coach Program, which lets standout Youth Program participants transition from player to coach. Sophia herself came up through the club's Kickstart Camps and Regional Development School trainings, moving from a coed setting to mostly girls-only camps, and describes having once been very shy before those experiences helped her come out of her shell. Now, as a coach, she works with young "crazy" kids and sees the program as a chance to help other quiet children build the same confidence and social skills she gained.
