Sounders FC, RAVE Foundation, and Puyallup Tribe open transformational community soccer park

On May 28, Seattle Sounders FC, RAVE Foundation, and the Puyallup Tribe of Indians opened the Visa Street Soccer Park on the former Gault Middle School site in Tacoma. The free community facility includes two lighted professional-grade turf fields that can be combined into one larger surface, plus a clubhouse and classroom space, and is built to support adaptive programming including regulation blind soccer, with equipment donated by the SeattleFWC26 Local Organizing Committee. The Puyallup Tribe gave the park its official Twulshootseed name, wɘlɘx w ildubutali ("place to make yourself strong"), and marked the opening with a ceremonial pitch blessing led by Chief Leschi Schools Drum & Dance, continuing a partnership between the Tribe, Sounders FC, and RAVE Foundation that began in 2021.
