Sporting Kansas City led Philadelphia Union 3-0 at halftime at Sporting Park thanks to two goals from Andre Luiz and a header from Wyatt Meyer off an Emir Karic corner. Philadelphia then scored four goals in nine second-half minutes, through Bruno Damiani, Cavan Sullivan, Milan Iloski, and a Zorhan Bassong own goal, to complete the comeback and win 4-3. The result leaves Sporting KC at 5-17-3 (18 points) while Philadelphia improved to 10-10-6 (36 points). Sporting next travel to face the Houston Dynamo on Saturday.
