Hong Kong Jockey Club Northern Metropolis development
Hong Kong Chief Executive John Lee Ka-chiu used his final policy address of the term to unveil new investment in the city's Northern Metropolis development zone near the border with Shenzhen. The Hong Kong Jockey Club said its charitable trust has given in-principle approval to fund construction of a Life and Health Academic Research Building at a planned Northern Metropolis University Town, worth HK$3 billion, describing the move as support for both the national and Hong Kong five-year plans unveiled alongside Lee's speech.
