Dave Portnoy supports Kraft's Macklemore ban

Barstool Sports founder Dave Portnoy voiced strong public support for New England Patriots owner Robert Kraft's decision to bar rapper Macklemore from performing at Gillette Stadium, saying in a video posted to X that Kraft was right to exclude him given his history of antisemitic remarks and imagery, including a 2014 performance in which Macklemore wore a costume widely seen as an antisemitic caricature, for which he later apologized. Kraft's stance helped push Ed Sheeran's tour promoter to drop Macklemore from the remaining dates of Sheeran's 'Loop Tour' after Macklemore led anti-Israel chants and displayed Gaza-war imagery during two early-September shows in New Jersey. Macklemore responded by accusing Kraft of orchestrating a stadium boycott against him, pledging his tour earnings to Palestinian aid and challenging Kraft to match the donation; Kraft said in a statement that Sheeran had separately asked him to help support a $2 million humanitarian donation, which he agreed to back, while several of Sheeran's opening acts pulled out of the tour in protest of Macklemore's removal.
