Najib Razak's house arrest

Malaysia's Pardons Board has granted former prime minister Najib Razak a conditional pardon allowing him to serve the remainder of his sentence under house arrest rather than in prison, but only once he pays a US$12.3 million fine tied to his conviction. The board said Najib must meet all conditions of the pardon or it will be voided, requiring him to immediately return to prison to serve out his term.
