Iran tensions at UN General Assembly
The Trump administration has approved visas for Iran's 'core delegation' - including President Masoud Pezeshkian and Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi - to attend next week's UN General Assembly high-level meetings in New York, despite a more than six-month-old war between the US and Iran with no sign of a breakthrough on reopening the Strait of Hormuz or resuming nuclear talks. US officials said the decision, disclosed Thursday, still comes with strict conditions on the delegation. President Trump has said he faces a 'big decision' on whether to escalate further against Iran, having spoken of potentially seeking to 'annihilate' the Islamic Republic.
