Ed Sheeran opened a solo concert at Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia on Saturday 19 September 2026 with remarks about Gaza, saying that what is happening there is "catastrophic and unjustifiable" and that his heart had been broken by the scale of devastation and the loss of civilians' and children's lives.
