Fatal roller coaster accident at a Georgia theme park

Six Flags is installing seat belts on its Goliath roller coaster model after a rider was ejected and killed on the ride at Six Flags Over Georgia. The victim, a cancer survivor whose sister said he had recently survived a car fire, was thrown from the coaster and struck other passengers during the fall at the Cobb County park. The company had previously closed nine Goliath-model coasters across its US and Canada parks, including one at Magic Mountain in Valencia, while reviewing restraint systems, and has now confirmed the seat-belt addition as its fix.
