Student protests in Albania
Violent student-led protests have continued in Albania, with demonstrators clashing with police and damaging government buildings in Tirana, including setting fire to part of the education ministry. Prime Minister Edi Rama has refused to resign, insisting governments are changed through elections, while police have used water cannon to disperse crowds and parliament has canceled sessions amid the unrest. The protests, now in their third day, stem from student anger over rising education costs and government corruption.
