US waivers of Russia sanctions under Trump
Trump's waiver of several Russia sanctions remains in a 60-day pause, with no final decision announced. Secretary of State Marco Rubio said Trump will use that period to analyze the global economic impact before deciding whether to let the sanctions and tariffs, passed by Congress in a law signed in September, take effect. The move has drawn bipartisan criticism in Washington, and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said he fears Trump will keep lifting sanctions on Russia.
