Iranian plots against Americans

US intelligence has assessed that Iranian plots to kill Americans have reached "advanced stages," prompting President Trump to weigh possible responses. A memo cited by officials identifies Tehran-linked operatives working to target current or former US officials, reportedly in retaliation for past American actions against Iranian figures, including the 2020 killing of Qassem Soleimani. Officials have described the threat as significant enough to prompt heightened security measures, though specific targets or attack methods have not been detailed.
