Intruder at Kamala Harris' home
Los Angeles County sheriff's deputies responded to former Vice President Kamala Harris's $8 million Malibu home on a Friday night after an unidentified woman, dropped off by an Uber, twice attempted to approach the property uninvited; she was turned away by security the first time but returned and was stopped again before reaching the house, prompting security to call authorities after 10 p.m. The woman was not arrested. Harris spokesman Eduardo Negron said security personnel 'stopped an individual who illegally entered' the property before she reached the home and thanked responding officers, adding that neither Harris nor her husband, former Second Gentleman Doug Emhoff, were home at the time; a Malibu/Lost Hills sheriff's station watch commander said patrols of the property would be stepped up. Harris and Emhoff purchased the property in January 2025; her Secret Service protection detail, extended a year beyond the customary six months for former vice presidents under President Biden, was ended by President Trump roughly a year before the incident.
