Zohran Mamdani's October 7 anniversary message

New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani is maintaining his position on his October 7 anniversary statement despite ongoing criticism, including from a fellow Democrat who called his remarks condemning Israel "egregious" for not adequately acknowledging the victims of the 2023 Hamas attack. Scrutiny of Mamdani grew after it was reported that he dined at a New York City restaurant associated with an anti-Israel menu following an Oct. 7 vigil. Separately, demonstrators were seen cheering the Hamas-led massacre at gatherings in New York City and other locations around the anniversary.
