Oregon elementary school shooting

Teacher Meghan Lambert has publicly recounted how she survived the Oregon elementary school shooting that killed her and three children aged 5, 8 and 11, by pretending to be dead after being shot. She described throwing a phone at the 16-year-old former student who opened fire and attempting to wrestle his weapon away before an armed father intervened and shot him dead. A 7-year-old child and a 54-year-old teacher remain in critical condition from the attack, in which the shooter carried roughly 44 additional rounds of ammunition.
