Settler violence at the West Bank olive harvest
Israeli police have arrested 10 people over mid-October settler attacks near Abu Falah that injured Palestinian olive farmers, a Washington Post photojournalist and European diplomats, including Belgian officials, during the olive harvest. Roughly 80 masked attackers torched olive trees and vehicles and threw stones, prompting pressure from the US Embassy for an investigation and a visit by US officials to the affected village. Separately, a widely shared video purporting to show settlers uprooting olive trees was found to be fake, though verified attacks on the harvest have continued to be documented.
