French student protests against Macron's government
French student protests, now in their fourth week, continue with ongoing clashes and school blockades across the country, joined by labor unions and yellow vest activists. President Emmanuel Macron has accused both domestic political forces and foreign leaders of exploiting the unrest for their own purposes. US President Donald Trump has been named as one such figure, with Macron's government and other observers saying he has used the riots to push false immigration claims ahead of the American midterm elections.
