Indonesia's gas export cuts to Singapore
Indonesia is standing by its decision to cut gas exports to Singapore, insisting the move does not breach existing supply contracts. Singapore Prime Minister Lawrence Wong has said Singapore expects all parties to honour their commitments, a view shared by the Workers' Party, which voiced regret over Jakarta's decision and stressed the importance of upholding contracts. The disagreement centres on whether Indonesia's reduction of gas supplies to Singapore violates prior bilateral agreements.
