Singapore firms receiving haze law notices
Singapore's investigation into 10 companies suspected of links to land-clearing fires behind regional haze continues under the Transboundary Haze Pollution Act. A specialist panel of six firms and one lawyer has now been appointed to probe the evidence against the 10 companies. Leaders of the implicated firms were earlier summoned to meet government ministers, who warned them to cooperate fully with the inquiry. No findings of wrongdoing or penalties have been announced against any company.
