Binance crypto hack of October 2026
Binance is managing the fallout from a $6.3 billion hack, the largest in crypto industry history, which it has attributed to hackers linked to North Korea's state cyber units. The exchange says it has covered 90% of the stolen funds to make affected traders whole, after earlier freezing more than $2.5 billion of the impacted assets. Despite the recovery efforts, users have since withdrawn $3.6 billion from the platform, signaling continued unease about its security.
