The Cornell University gang rape investigation
The Cornell gang-rape case continues to generate legal and public fallout following a lawsuit alleging seven Chi Phi fraternity members drugged and raped a student in 2024. A special prosecutor appointed by Governor Kathy Hochul remains on the case despite defense efforts to have them removed, while Cornell's internal review proceeds separately. The accuser's lawyer says she remains in "constant fear," and online misidentification of Asian men as suspects has fueled a harassment campaign.
