Major incident at RAF Fairford

A major incident was declared near RAF Fairford on a Sunday, and five British men from London were arrested by counter-terror police and later released on police bail, with no explosives found at the scene; one of the five is reported to have called police himself. Prime Minister Andy Burnham says there are strong indications that Iran played a part, which Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi dismissed as barking up the wrong tree. Police had arrested a 25-year-old UK-Iranian dual national in Westminster on suspicion of preparation of terrorist acts, and he has since been released on bail. A further British national has also been arrested in connection with the incident.
